The municipality is located east of Sofia in the west part of Zlatitsa Hollow. The northern part of its territory lies\u00a0 on the southern slopes of the Stara Planina, and its southern part\u00a0 on the northern slopes of the Sredna gora. The municipality covers an area of 207.6 square kilometers, which is 1.88% of the territory of the country. The village of Mirkovo\u00a0 is at 700 m altitude. It&#8217;s located 62 km east of Sofia, 20 km from Pirdop and 36 km from the town of Panagyurishte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its Agricultural area is 84,310 acres.
