Technical University – Sofia (TUS) is the largest educational and scientific complex in Bulgaria in the field of technical and applied sciences. The university has been defining the educational standards and establishing the national priorities for the development of engineering education and science for 70 years.
The Technical University has fourteen faculties in Sofia, several departments, Branch in the city of Plovdiv with two faculties, Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy and a College in the town of Sliven, as well as other units that educate students and conduct scientific research.
Over 10 000 Bulgarian and about 1 000 foreign students are being trained in the Technical University – Sofia in Professional Bachelor, Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees under curricula and syllabi, synchronized with Germany, France and the UK. At the same time, the credit transfer system allows education in European universities, too, during certain period of the studies with full recognition of the course units studied and the examinations taken. Priority goal in the activity of the Technical University – Sofia is the quality education that is in conformity with the contemporary requirements, enhancing its prestige as leading educational center at European and world level.
Thanks to the numerous earned research and educational projects, the University has modern facilities, equipped for world-level training and research, unique not only for the country, but also for Central and Eastern Europe.
